NANO2ALL training - In preparation for multi-stakeholder dialogues

NANO2ALL partner organisations and involved science centres participated in a training session in Amsterdam, NL on 13 and 14 September to discuss and try out the methodology designed for the multi-stakeholder dialogues. Multi-stakeholder dialogue events will take place this autumn in Sweden France, Spain, Italy, Poland and Israel.

UNESCO calls for responsible research, including more dialogue with society

On 17 May 2017, UNESCO published a report on the Revision of the Recommendation on the Status of Scientific Researchers (1974): http://unesdoc.unesco.org/images/0024/002489/248910e.pdf. The recommendation calls upon UNESCO Member States to facilitate scientific research and calls upon researchers and employers of research to engage in responsible research. The update was needed to accommodate the present-day context where scientists are active, in private as well as public organisations.

NANO2ALL JRC SES game showcased at ECSITE 2017

The prototype version of the NANO2ALL scenario exploration game (adapted from JRC´s future simulation tool ‘Scenario Exploration System’ (SES)) was presented in the Gamelab of Ecsite Annual Conference 2017 (www.ecsite.eu). The game, which will be used as part of the multi-stakeholder dialogues, explores future nanotechnology scenario situations in the targeted application areas across multiple timelines.
