Each stakeholder group plays an important role in the Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) in nanotechnology, and in establishing a European-wide sustainable platform for mutual learning and informed dialogue for the co-production of knowledge.

Understanding stakeholders’ views is an essential part of RRI, which provides insight into the possible social reactions and tolerance of unpredictable risks, thus contributing to the development of useful and innovative products under appropriate regulation.
